We stayed on Thursday 25/04/13 as a spur of the moment trip. The room was very clean with a king bed, Great movies with austar included, Cocky chip biscuits,. Had a great sleep and was a real surprise and value for money at $118.00.

The motel room opened up to the creek at the back which stank, probably because of stagnant water . There are other complaints I have , but will not state them this time .I would stay at the Paxton Cottages run by the Goyder Council , or a B and B should I be in Burra again.

I stay in hotels around the world and this one caught me by surprise. Travelling from Sydney to Perth I couldn't drive further due to tiredness and after looking at Trip advisor I saw the Burra Motor Inn listed and recommended. You turn off the main highway into what looks like the middle of nowhere when suddenly nestled in the... More

Manager seemed like a friendly chap, my room clean with a comfortable bed.....the t.v somewhat small though but still this was better than nothing and it had a selection of channels. Reasonably priced. The motel was within walking distance of shops, unfortunately I had arrived late in the afternoon with little daylight time to check out the towns attractions.

Fully priced, but very pleasant option in nice part of town, nice rooms back on Burra Creek, decent beds. I would recommend that the management switch off the creek side security lights later in the evening - it's a pity to have to use the full curtains to block out the light to get to sleep. Common fault in Australian... More

This motel is conveniently situated near shops, hotels, museum, gallery and park. Our room was large and clean, although maybe in need of an update. The quilt covers were pretty washed out in colour. Everything worked. Our Vodafone mobile phone did not work in Burra. and so we had a digital detox. Even internet is pretty difficult. Digital TV could... More

Well located midway between the historic part of Burra and the current town centre. Person at reception looked to be a double of Shane Warne (an infamous former Australian cricketer), but was otherwise extremely helpful in offering information pertinent to the motel accommodation, the towns eating facilities, and the towns historic sites. Spacious room with good sized en suite. Room... More

We stayed one night here after a trip to the Clare Valley. It was clean and comfortable and quiet which was a surprise as it was full. It is a typical motel but some effort has been made to update the rooms. The room was large, but the TV was small and reception was a bit patchy. The bathroom was... More

We stayed in this motel with other family members on our way back to Adelaide. It was clean and comfortable but a little bit overpriced for what it is. No restaurant on site but we were given information about restaurants around Burra where we could eat. There is an indoor pool which we did not use. The view from the... More
