Cunning internet photography depicts this place to be secluded but its actually in someones back yard! Dont go out the front door, you will break your neck, broken step covered with doormat so theres no smelling the lavender or herbs for you. BBQ, and hotplates didnt heat properly so we cooked our fish over the open fire in living room, it sizzled in seconds. To add to the flavour of the experience we had to pump our water twice the following morning to take a shower. The french couch looked good but was so uncomfortable and hard , time to send that back to France I think, old TV had little reception and only on two channels, no instructions on any appliances, not even fresh milk . This could have been great! An old limestone building rescued from ruin by the owners and turned into a holiday cottage. The decoration is in the "shabby chic" style, which isn't my thing but can be ok if done well. But, dear oh dear, the owners seem to have swallowed several design manuals and it is so over the top as to be almost laughable. (I did laugh out loud!) I could give lots of examples but the sign reading "Le pipi rustique" over the toilet should give readers an idea.

Things didn't work too well either. The dorr didn't lock from the outside, the fire, lovely in apperance, didn't draw properly so that the cottage smelt of wood smoke, the electric hob was slow, etc.

If the owners could rectify the faults and tone down the decoration then it would be a nice place to stay. As it is it is only worth seeking out for a laugh.
