Beautiful gardens and cottage style accommodation. The staff were lovely. Try the divine dinner at the restaurant matched perfectly with ?mooroorooloo( cant get my head around the name) wines which were superb, ( and I'm fussy)! more
We were guests for a wedding at this wonderful venue. We stayed 2 nights and the food, venue, atmosphere, wine are all 1st class. The staff however would have outshone any staff from a 7 star hotel. They make you feel very welcome and very special. Nothing is too much for them. Great job everybody more
We were delighted to find this place as we had no expectations having not known anyone who had stayed prior or viewed the property. Wonderful staff so friendly and helpful.Room service A+ platter was ordered for evening meal with table set and fresh flowers.Breakfast in Pavillion starting with bircher, fruit, hot breakfast,followed by lattes crosiants homemade jams.No need for lunch.The gardens and creek with wrought iron chairs ,glass or two of earthsong wine I was sure I was in France..Back to the cottage with... more
The Jacobs Creek Retreat is just beautifully presented. From the perfectly manicured grounds and fabulous rooms (and really rustic cellar door), everything was wonderful. The food was brilliant - I really want the recipe for the breakfast sausages! Wine was equally wonderful. After having some trouble finding the Jacobs Creek Retreat I rang reception and the service started there. The gentleman who answered was understanding and helpful, and we found our way easily. We had one of the most wonderful evenings at the retreat. The dinner was truly awesome and the chef is amazing with her creations. The service by the staff is excellent and personally attends to you during the stay. The room is spacious and thoughtfully decorated. We would have like the bed to be firmer. more
Our hosts Tricia and Wyndham created a very warm and welcoming environment in which we enjoyed a totally relaxing vacation. The staff were fantastic, the tranquil environment was perfect and the accommodation very comfortable and steeped in history.
