One night was all we had at The Louise and coupled with a very early start the next day it wasn't long enough too really appreciate the beautiful surroundings and accommodation. Amazing suite - just fantastic! Make sure you have dinner in Appelation, but if you choose the Degustation menu ensure you allow yourselves enough time to truly savour and... more

We stayed at the Louise after a tour of Barossa wineries. The Louise is in the same class as the best Australian Shiraz--outstanding! We liked our suite--very roomy and what seemed like total privacy. The stars seemed almost close enough to touch. We enjoyed the dinner and the menu has a good selection of wines without the usual high markups.... more

I made an initial review of The Louise back in 2007. Have recently returned from a 4 night stay there with my daughter and I'm delighted to review that the promised changes to the suites have indeed been carried out. Each suite now has a front and rear courtyard area giving a far greater degree of privacy. In fact, overall... more

My husband and I went to the Louise for dinner on a Saturday evening. We had left dinner reservations till the last minute, and the staff of the Louise restaurant kindly squeezed us in at 2100. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel comfortable and every need was attended to (jackets placed away, water served immediately, menus... more

Stayed here for two nights whilst touring the Barossa valley. You need a car to get there and around. Beautiful hotel - we stayed in a Vineyard suite and it was great. Bedroom and seating area, L shape room into area with table for breakfast looking out onto the Vineyard and doors onto the patio. Lovely bathroom with underfloor heating,... more

We only had one night in a vineyard suite but it was excellent. I cannot remember a better maintained or cleaner place ! Spotless!! The attention to detail impressive, with nice little extras. The vineyard rooms are compact so if you are staying a few days a larger suite maybe better. The staff were very professional & friendly. The breakfast... more

We spent 2 nights in January. The food at Appellation was the best I've ever had. We only booked into the restaurant for the first night, but they made room for us on the 2nd night because we wanted to go back and try more. Fabulous wine list, but we bought some local treasures which they were happy to serve... more

It was fantastic! The outside temperature was 44 degrees celcius and our room was a beautiful haven. The bathrooms are an incredible sensual experience and the shower is the best. Great bed, great TV and super cool in the heat of the Australian summer. The restaurant is a wonderful experience too and I couldn't fault them. more

We stay at the Louise in Apr 2009 and the stay in excellent. <BR> Room - The room is really lovely. Cozy design. A big bathroom with a large jacuzzi. We stayed at the Marananga Suites and it has a big bedroom and living room. It's fully equipped with Nespresso, DVD and LCD TV. You can also enjoy FREE internet... more

In between our trips to Lizard and Kangaroo Island, we stopped in the Barossa for three nights. I was greatly looking forward to the Louise after reading reviews here and after hearing of accolades received by both the hotel and the restaurant. While the Barossa is beautiful and well worth a visit, we were disappointed in the Louise. The rooms... more
