Terrible, cold and 1950s depressing cabin. Owners far too old to cope. York is dreary and shabby.
This B and B has six rensuite ooms available and most have a king and a single bed included. Spacious, clean room with a traditional English/colonial settler style. Generous breakfast serves with cereal, fruit, toast, bacon, eggs, juice etc. Quiet location opposite an old church, near to the Avon River, friendly staff.
Excellent value with a lovely clean room and a great breakfast. Just a short walk from the main street.
The town of York is not as lovely as my family and I thought it would be. When we arrived at the Swann Lodge our room was cold and the bathroom was not clean. Inside the bathroom it would seem that the shower ( an oddly designed shower ) had no proper rim around the bottom keeping the water from...

Could not find any fault in our stay. Our room was very cosy, clean and inviting. Hosts made you feel very welcome and enjoyed having a chat with you. A cooked breakfast was included and you definitely had plenty to eat. Would recommend and would stay there again.
