Our original destination was unacceptable, so a friend in Sylva directed us here. They gave us a nice room and were very helpful in terms of directions and suggestions on food and other necessities. The breakfast wasn't much, but the employees were all friendly and welcoming and the room was clean. We wound up staying 2 nights and felt we... more

Best price for the mountains with Asheville fest going on. Mattresses were new. Some remodeling done in last 25 years included granite vanity tops. Had two minor problems that were quickly fixed. Breakfast was sugar rolls, cereal, instant mixes and fresh self made waffles (mix & waffle iron). Waffles were tasty. As stated by another review AC was off when... more

As with the previous review, our room AC was off when we arrived and it was very hot. Record temperatures were being set and the room faced west, so I can be somewhat understanding. Fortunately we arrived at 4pm and the room cooled down while we went out for dinner in Dillsboro. The hotel is older, but it was clean,... more

We stayed there for our daughter's orientation at WCU - June 2007. Room on top floor was hot when we checked in (sure we want to save energy but they may want to save customers) The bed in our room was soft and sagged into the middle. During the night I could not take it anymore and moved to the... more

My 2-night stay at this hotel in the lone "handicapped" room was not what I expected. While my wheelchair would fit through the doorways, there were NO GRAB-BARS in the shower and the toilet was a STANDARD HEIGHT---not the handicapped height I expected. There was a handicapped-height toilet in the public restroom near the front desk, but that's not very... more

This hotel is convenient if you need to spend time visiting someone in hospital. The rooms are large, old but they seemed clean. Breakfast was terrible and the eating area was not very clean. They could definitely use a new toaster! My main objection was why don't they use fitted sheets? Our bottom sheet immediately slid off the mattress once... more

There was a used wash cloth left in the bathroom that made me question the cleanliness of the whole room. There were only 2 clean wash cloths although there were 4 towels and hand towels (there were 3 of us). The sheets on the king sized bed were too small-the bottom sheet barely reached the side of the mattress and... more

Our first visit to the Comfort Inn was our last. We visited in the June, 2001, when we stayed for our daughter's orientation at WCU. (Parents are encouraged to stay, and we're just too old to go back to dorm living, even for 2 days!) First, the Comfort Inn's prices can vary by $50+ depending on when you go. If... more
