The location is really terrible, a good 2 miles from restaurants and shopping, they use this to get you to accept sub-par service, poor food preparation and price gouging in their mediocre-at-best "restaurant". We were visiting the University of North Dakota and decided to stay here because of its relation to UND. Friendly service , clean , comfortable rooms and a delicious breakfast(10$) makes a great hotel. The best in Grand Forks , by far has to be the HGI. more

We travelled to Grand Forks for a nephew's graduation. We are a large family with several small children so we always need 2 rooms. This hotel was a nice surprise. It is very clean. This is exactly like every other HGI I've stayed at. Clean, decent breakfast, free Internet for HHonors folks. This property is also connected via skywalk to University of North Dakota. The only gotcha is the proximity to the train tracks. My room faced the other direction, but some in my business party commented about the trains overnight schedule. more
