A group of friends and me traveled to Sunny Beach in june 2006 to, as young people like to, soak sun and party all night long. We decided to stay at Jantra as it is cheap and recommended for young people.

The hotel itself is okay for young travelers who's not too picky. The pool is large and the hotel has a little shop. The rooms are not great. We actually had a see-through bathroom door (!). The view from our room (we stayed on the 9th floor) was exceptional. You could see the spectacular sunsets, and one night when it was a thunderstorm, the view was stunning, with the lightning and all. But don't expect too much. The "kitchen" in the room consists of a microwave on a dresser, a fridge and four cups and saucers. The maid didn't clean the cups, so we had to do it ourself in the bathroom sink, as there was no sink in the room.

Locationwise it is great. It's a bit of a walk to the beach, but it doesn't really matter much, at least, it didn't matter to us... more
