Just got back from the Chaika Hotel in St Konstantine in Bulgaria. This is the Chaika in ST KONSTANTINE..., NOT Sunny Beach OR Golden Sands! We found out the day before leaving that there are actually THREE Chaika hotels in Bulgaria. A horrible one in Golden Sands, a really nice one in Sunny Beach and this one in the little known resort of St Konstantine.

THE HOTEL: The hotel is a 3* hotel (Bulgarian 3*=English 2*) and the first thing to mention is the food. DO NOT GO HALF/FULL BOARD! The breakfasts are...ok.... there is at least cereal and toast, its the dinner time meals that are....well.....for want of a better word, mush. Its typical bulgarian fare with a stew like substance with overcooked vegetables and poor quality meat (usually with all the bones) tossed in. We went half board but just ended up eating out all the time.
