We have stayed at Cliff Cottage on two occasions while visiting Gabriola. Jacoline and Lance have created a wonderful venue in which to forget the stresses of everyday life. Breakfast overlooking the channel is a great start to the day. We look forward to our next stay with them. more

My husband and I traveled with our 3 sons and 1 daughter-in-law to Cliff Cottage the week after Thanksgiving. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by Jacoline and Lance and Kayli (the dog). Cliff Cottage is pure bliss. My sister and I stayed for a night to catch up and relax after not seeing one another for quite some time. Gabriola provides the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation and Cliff Cottage was a comfortable, friendly and beautiful place to stay. Sit in the hot-tub overlooking 300ft cliff with view of Mudge Island. B&B is off main road secluded with large pond providing tranquil setting for a morning walk. Breakfast was nice, we had eggs florentine on day one then waffles on day 2. Hosts made you feel welcomed and were unintrusive. There was a good selection of books and magazines... more
Our room was very clean and had its own entrance. Best of all, it was the most comfortable bed I have ever had away from home. The hosts were very helpful without being at all intrusive, and they provided a delicious breakfast. This is a small place in an idyllic setting a short distance from Nanaimo, BC. Gabriola Island is accessible by private boat or by ferry from Nanaimo on Vancouver Island.
