best place in town, love it, and we sure will be back soon, sooo clean, friendly, just awesom. AND THE PRICE IS RIGHT (can't understand some ppl. comments about the value, we went in the "busy season" and got a good rate, I really don't think they are over-priced! Kudos to the owner for making it a wonderful place to... more

The black bear resort is a nice place to stop before taking the ferry the next day but the price is a bit high. The rooms are spacious inside but very plain. There is a small fridge and ample power outlets, a good size tv and good views of the town. The room was very clean and the beds were... more

A very pleasant and clean facility and would stay again but we"re concerned by the treatment of the paramedics. That is not the way to treat your guests. The paramedics should have been given adequate (and lots of) prior notice. Obviously management needs to amend some of their policies. more

As the owner of an industrial ambulance company supplying front line medic services to our provinces amazing forest fire fighters two of our four medics checked into this hotel on Aug 11/09 for an indefinite period of time. These paramedics returned nightly from a long and exhausting day in the field for a brief rest period including must needed sleep... more

We live on Vancouver Island and decided to travel "up island" for the first time since we arrived 16 years ago. Had booked a B&B from online description and arrived only to find it was located in a trailer park and was a room underneath a mobile home with a 6'2" ceiling and only one tiny slit of a window.... more

The rooms are spotless. The lobby is spotless. The check in/out staff very good. Lots of parking. 2 thumbs up to... more

Great Breakfast....I loved making my own waffles at the hotel in the morning. The rooms were clean and the staff was helpful. The bears eating along side the road on the drive up from Port Hardy were great! more

We stayed here on Nov 8/08. After we had checked in and prepaid our rooms in full I was asked to sign a blank Visa imprint as a security deposit. When I refused to do this I was forced to sign a Visa slip for $500.00 or give up our rooms. I was told point blank that we could go... more
