Our first fly fishing trip booked from England was at this wonderful place. The lodge beside an attractive lake had exceptional views and our bedroom was well-furnished with a good ensuite bathroom. The food was plentiful and well-prepared but too much carbohydrate for our English tastes. The dining and sitting rooms were very pleasant places to spend our time. Barb... More

A brilliant trip for first time snowmobilers..we were expert by the end thanks to Randy's brilliant guidance. Then back to the welcoming Lodge, Peggy's homemade cooking and the best Newfewie hospitality. If you want to recharge your batteries or just have an amazing adventure with the family..this is the place !!

If you want to spoil yourself while traveling on business, pleasure or while you are 'roughing it" on your next outdoor adventure. Well you better give Barr or Celie a call. Having traveled on end of Newfoundland to the other, the Tuckamore lodge is the place for a great night sleep, a great meal as well as great conversation. Every... More

Found this place by mistake but I would say that folks should make it a destination. The lodge is very comfy, sits on a great lake from which you can see the sunset. There are trails through the woods nearby and much wildlife (we watched moose as we ate breakfast). The lodge staff are fantastic and almost too accommodating. We... More

My husband and I stayed here this past August and absolutely loved it. From our very comfortable sleep, to drinking wine sitting in the adirondack chairs on the veranda, to having an evening swim just steps from the lodge, and having a lovely home cooked meal in the company of interesting and eclectic guests, we enjoyed it all. Our only... More

I wish we had been able to stay longer at this wonderful Lodge. The location is serene and beautiful. Barb and her staff are extremely friendly, it felt like we were at a friends house. We arrived around lunch time but hadn't made previous arrangements for the meal but this was no problem. We were fed like royalty with the... More

I stayed here about 3 years ago with my family as a teenager, and the experience was so great at the lodge that my younger brothers and I opted to ditch my parents when they went to tour attractions and stay to eat the amazing food. The hostess even made cookies for my somewhat petulant littlest brother. The stay was... More

My wife and I both enjoyed a few days at the the lodge. Barbe arrange for a FF guide and the gals in the kitchen prepared our catch for all the guests. All the meals are communal, we like it. The other travelers there were pleasant to meet and chat with. We liked our room, it was clean and comfortable.

very well decorated rooms. Did an awesome job arranging for prepackaged lunches. Somewhat buggy outside. One of the best breakfasts we ever had

Since meals are served in a common dining room with two long tables, we got the chance to speak with many of the other guests. The food was good, and the room was spacious with very comfortable beds. My only complaint was that its a little far from the main attractions of St Anthony and L'Anse aux Meadows.
