The Inn is decorated to look like an Irish inn.....lots of Irish plaids and green colours everywhere. The owners are Shirley and Adrian. Their pet dog Joey greets everyone with a series of yips and yaps but he was a friendly little fellow. Their large diningroom overlooks the bay and the views are truly lovely.

I recently visited Newfoundland with four other bird photographers and we spent our second night at the Claddagh Inn. The location was perfect for us as it is located about in the middle of the Avalon Peninsula's Irish Loop. We had spent the morning at Cape St Mary's Ecological Preserve and the following night in Witless Bay, so this location was perfect for us.

Shirley, Adrian, and Joey the Dog were the perfect hosts. They cooked a delicious dinner and breakfast for us. Shirley went out of our way to accomodate my special dietary needs (no dairy). I have not felt this well cared for since the last time I visited my mother. :)

I highly recommend The Claddagh Inn to anyone visiting the area.
