We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the little marina & the lake, yet only a short walk to the centre of Baddeck & The Alexander Graham Bell museum. The breakfasts consisting of delicious, freshly baked muffins, scones, waffels & cakes are taken in the art gallery, surrounded by quality works. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and... more

As others have said, this is more an inn than a traditional B&B. The feeling of sleeping in someone's home is not quite here but the quaintness and friendliness of the owners gave it that B&B feel. Rooms - immaculately clean and well-kept. We stayed in room #2 and had a great view of the harbour and Bras D'or Lake.... more

After reading the reviews on tripadvisor we wanted to try out this place during our stay in Baddeck. We were very lucky to get a booking when someone cancelled their room just before we called. We were given room #5 which is on the 3rd floor but has the very best view of the marina and harbour. The room has... more

We really enyoyed our stay at the Water's Edge Inn. It is in a very good location, our room had a very nice view of the harbour. The balcony was the perfect place for a morning coffee. The room was nicely decorated, spacious, and very clean. The owner and staff were very friendly, and helpful with suggestions to help plan... more

We stayed and ate there. It was good but but we found better food at Gisele's. The rooms were average and the food was good, but over priced. The view is wonderful though. The rooms at Giseles are better. It is a nice place but not excellent at any means. The constant traveller. more

My husband & I stayed at the Water's Edge and really enjoyed our stay. It's not a B&B, so it should not be listed as such on Tripadvisor. It's an Inn - so you are not forced to mingle with guests or innkeepers. We loved this fact. :) We called 2 days before we arrived to see if they had... more

The Water's Edge Inn was a great place to stay. Above a gallery with lots of peace and quiet, beautiful views of the harbor from the balcony and easy walking access to the town, shopping and restaurants. The Inn's restaurant was also very good although it has a limited menu more

Just stayed for 2 nights at the Water's Edge Inn. Our room was very spacious, spotlessly clean, with an excellent bathroom and the bed was fantastic. We were in room 6, without a view, and it was $140 - the rooms with a view are more expensive. Breakfast is not included. The location is perfect for exploring Baddeck on foot... more

Perfect setting just across a small road from the harbor. Our big window framed a classic harbor view. Room itself was large and comfortable, and the porch was a welcome extra. Choose a room on the harbor side. 1 and 2 have covered porches, good in case it rains. Downstairs cafe is also excellent. Try the seafood chowder, a more... more
