we stayed here for two nights and were delighted with the room, the breakfasts (best we had in Nova Scotia!) and the location. Jill is a kind and caring host and the place is peaceful and well appointed. Highly recommend - great value for money and excellent experience.

This is the perfect location to enjoy traditional music and dances, walk pristine beaches, hike the headlands and experience Cape Breton hospitality. We stayed 2 nights this summer but I wish it had been longer. Jill, the owner, has provided some unexpected touches like high thread count sheets and hydrotherapy tubs. The house was built about 150 years ago and... More

I can't say enough good things about this B&B and it's owner Jill. This was the best place we stayed in Cape Breton. The property is beautiful, the rooms were comfortable and pretty (we peeked in all the rooms when they were empty, and they were all very nice). There was a hottub on site overlooking a charming bubbling brook,... More

Had a wonderful stay with Jill at The Inn at Glendyer during our honeymoon in July 2012. Gorgeous grounds with a stream that winds its way next to the B&B. We stayed on the second floor to the right at the end of the hall. We had two rooms actually...which would be great for families traveling with a child or... More

My wife and I spent a night at the Inn while traveling through Cape Breton. We couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. It is a beautiful old home surrounded by forest. Secluded yet still only 5 minutes from Main Street Mabou. The pictures on its website don't do it justice. That would be my only "complaint". The room,... More

We enjoyed our stay at this historical property. The inn is situated on a brook and the hot tub overlooks the stream. The rooms are neat and clean and the bed was very comfortable.I had my best rest since arriving in Nova Scotia. We ate a flavorful meal at the Red Shoe Pub and listened to some toe-tapping local music.... More

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Inn at Glendyer in Mabou on Cape Breton Island. Not only is the property exquisite, but the proprietor, Jill Coleman, was the most gracious of hostesses. The inn was homelike, warm, cosy and friendly. Jill's knowledge of the area and the must sees and must hear of the west coast of... More

This was the perfect getaway. Driving down the dirt road I enjoyed the greenery and brook. It is a short drive to the Inn which has the charm of a time past and all the amenities of the present. The rooms are charming, peaceful and the beds are very comfortable. There is a wonderful Labyrinth to walk in the garden,... More

My partner and I stayed at the Inn at Glendyer in mid June . The Inn is a lovely old house that has been made very comfortable and the setting is wonderful. You can hear the birds sing and there is a babbling brook running through the property. On the way from Mabou , before we turned onto the road... More

The location of the inn was so convnient to all of the dances and music and a short 5 minute drive to The Red Shoe Pub and 8 minutes to the Glenora Distillery. The inn is located in a 150 year old heritage house. Yes, it has uneven floorboards but I found that it only added to the charm. Jill,... More
