We had a wonderful stay at A Seafaring Maiden. Bill and Anne-Marie are perfectionists, and it shows in every way. Their house is charming, the room was comfortable, bathrooms were spotless, breakfast was very yummy. They are attentive and gracious hosts, and we had some very nice conversations. Bill gave some great travel tips - things to see and things... more

The title - Well, I haven't stayed in all of them, but this one will be darned hard to beat! Bill and Ann Marie were the perfect hosts meeting our every need almost before we knew about it! The building is beautiful and perfectly furnished for the period. The hosts as already mentioned, were perfect and the breakfasts unique. For... more

We have traveled extensively, and have never stayed with more gracious, welcoming, and accommodating hosts. It is clear that the Monks love what they do. Bill and Ann Marie treated us like family; we arrived late on the first night, but were still greeted with open arms. They enjoy sharing their lovingly restored family home which is a heritage property,... more

Bill and Ann Marie made us feel welcome from the start--from making the reservation through our farewells. The room was bright and sunny with a fantastic view of Annapolis Royal across the river. They had great suggestions on sites to see and I enjoyed browsing their library and learning the history of the bed and breakfast. more

A magnificient home full of a lifetime of treasures......we were rescued from the ravages of Tropical Storm Danny while camping. The Monks opened their home to me and my 2 young and very wet children.....provided us with a safe, dry, warm haven away from the wind and torrential rains. The children were whisked away, wrapped in warm blankets and fed... more

My mother and I stayed four nights at A Sea Faring Maiden and found the hosts Ann-Marie and Bill very warm and welcoming. The breakfasts were lovely, great home baked muffins to start and delicious hot cooked breakfasts followed. The home is beautifully decorated and the Captain's bedroom was a welcome retreat after a long day of sight seeing! more

This was quite simply the best Bed and Breakfast I've ever stayed at! Bill and AnneMarie clearly love opening their home to weary travelers. From the warmest greetings to the beautiful, clean room (my eight-year old appreciated the teddy bear placed on her bed, along with the lovely chocolate!), from the fantastic home-cooked breakfast to the extra touches (like a... more

We had a wonderful time from the moment we arrived. Bill & Ann Marie were wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with them. The room was nice, big and bright and the breakfast the next morning was the icing on the cake. Too bad we could not stay an extra day but we will return. We would recommend staying... more

We spent two nights at the Seafaring Maiden, my husband and I and our two children. We all loved the room, which was very clean, attractive and spacious - even with four of us in it. Our king-size bed was really a treat, and the kids raved about how comfortable their bed was. The house was beautifully laid out and... more
