I cannot fault The Water's Edge Inn even a little bit. I stayed here for 5 nights whilst in Campbellford for a wedding. After a long flight to Canada I was very happy with the room. The standard of the rooms is fantastic, a lot better than I was expecting and the service was top class. The location of the... More

We were looking for one night of relaxation close to home with a scenic view and nice amenities, this place delivered beyond expectations! Great location, amazing view, friendly proprietors, stylish accommodations with all the comforts we could have needed. This will certainly be a place we recommend to guests and return to.

I stayed here just one night for business but if I ever visit Campbellford again I will definitely stay here. It's clearly an old motel that's been renovated and modernized very nicely. It's in a beautiful spot right on the river. The owners were very friendly and helpful at check-in, and offered to make me dinner reservations. Unfortunately my room... More

Stayed for one winter night, but wished we could have stayed longer. The rooms were very modern with comfortable beds and mini-fridges... even had a tasemo style coffee maker... It was beautiful in winter here... can't imagine how nice it would be in the summer! Can definalty recommend this Inn.. the manger was very friendly and looked after us well.... More

Have stayed here twice on weekend getaways from Toronto, in the fall and winter. The unobstructed view of the Trent from your window is enough to make the stay worthwhile, with beautiful foliage along the river in the autumn, and cracking river ice (was really cold that night) lulling you to sleep in winter. The friendly, personal service, and the... More

OMG I do love this place. Such a fantastic break from the city. This was my second stay and hopefully not my last. I always in one of the lower water's edge rooms. when you open the drapes in the morning and the sun is beating down on the water rushing by..... it is simply an awe inspiring way to... More

The Water's Edge Inn is like a boutique hotel in the middle of nowhere! Tastefully appointed & exceptionally clean rooms; breath-taking views overlooking the Trent River; a friendly and accomodating staff - as well as wonderful little touches like a generous assortment of high-end toiletries, a Keurig coffee maker, and lots and lots of fluffy towels. Have visited in the... More

Booked the room but was not able to stay - do be wary of their cancellation policy. Looks like a lovely spot in otherwise bleak options in small-town Ontario, but their unusual 48 hour cancellation policy is very restricting. Not checking their VM for 24 hours is also problematic when being charged for cancelling...IOW got charged when 24 hour notice... More

Had no great expectations of decent accommodation in Campbellford, but, how delightful to be proven totally wrong. The outside appearance is comparatively plain, but, well kept and clean. The rooms we booked were outstanding: very clean; well laid out; excellently appointed; and, with excellent views onto the Trent-Severn. The beds were very comfortable, and the linens very high quality. The... More

All rooms are just as promised but an extra bonus is having one with a lovely view over the Trent River plus a deck from which to enjoy it.
