My wife, 7 year old and I stayed there on July 1, 2008. When we're in the area for a night or two, we typically stay here over the past few years, and have consistently had good experiences. Most units have a fully functional kitchenette, many have separate bedrooms. The decor and furniture is a bit on the austere side - more like you would find at a well kept family cottage than a typical 'hotel'. We've always encountered the friendly owners/operators, who have had the place for several years. You can't really walk to the beach, but McDonald's, pizza and the beer store are within 100 yards. If you're looking for an upscale hotel with room service, go somewhere else. But if you want a decent, budget place to sleep and eat for a couple of nights with rates significantly below the only nationally known chain hotel in town, then do check it out.
