3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 May 2013 NEW

Perhaps we expected too much from an 'Inn'. Despite the 5-star pricing, something was still missing and I wouldn't go back. But I guess the enjoyment of such a quasi-luxury establishment depends on what you consider pricey or not. The staff was friendly, welcoming and responded quickly to our (simple) requests. As the shower in our room was malfunctioning, we... More

We were there in September to celebrate my partner's birthday. The inn is well managed and beautifully located. Our dinner was excellent and the wines are well priced. Our only complaint was the room. We were located at the top dormer room where we were very uncomfortable. My partner has difficulty with low ceilings and has problems with his breathing... More

My husband and I owe a big thank you to Jeffrey and Debra for making the Ripplecove the delightful inn it has grown to be. There wasn’t a wrinkle in our entire stay. Jeffrey was generous to drive us from the local airport to the inn. We were in awe when we first stepped onto our terrace of suite #26... More

I just recently got back from my stay at Ripplecove to celebrate the new years with my partner. Although the hotel is a 10 hour drive from home it is always worth the time. I have been visiting Ripplecove during all seasons for the past few years and it never disappoints, which is why I was surprised to see a... More

We booked 2 nights at this Inn and most likely will not go back. The Inn is very beautiful, clean, peaceful, and accommodating. However, for the price, it was a little lacking. The food was very good the first night, although my husband who weighs about 220 at 6 ft tall, was never fed enough. Myself, an active 48 year... More

It was 12 years since our last stay at the Ripplecove and it was for our engagement. We were worried that the place might have downgraded somewhat. Fortunately, the Auberge has retained its magic. The welcome was heartwarming, with Evelyn at the front desk making sure everything was all right and even offering us an upgrade since it was for... More

We visited the Auberge in September. This was our fourth time, which should speak for itself. The inn is a great place to get away from it all. The staff is friendly and helpful and the cuisine as superb as ever. We had the good fortune to be upgraded (for the same price) to a unit with balcony overlooking Lake... More

Arrived for the Columbus Day weekend. The fall foliage view of the trees and lake were as breathtaking as promised. We took the MAP plan which resulted in a sumptuous breakfast and a French dinner the equal of the best New York has to offer. It's proximity to the U.S. border was a plus. It was well worth the ride.

You know, there are some places (not too many though) in the world where you feel so good, where everything seems so perfect! Ripplecove is one of them.
