The room was superb and very cleaned. Beautiful furniture and decor. The bathroom is beautiful and clean. We had a toaster oven, a coffee maker, a toaster (I believe) and a sink in a mini kitchen. A beautiful place. I would go back anytime. Great value! more
The room was spotless. Felt as if it had just been renovated. Silent air-conditionning. The King bed was actually a King. I would definately stay there again. Only two complaints : I have to pay for a Studio instead of standard room because there were no standard rooms left. Studio is quite a bir more expensive. And one minor detail... more
After reading TripAdvisor's review of this property we made reservations for our two visit to the area and were more delighted. It is clean, comfortable and centrally located. The $69 charge for the room and $3.50 per person breakfast fee was simply a bargain not to mention the friendly travel and restaurant suggestions from the staff. more
We were 6 adults on a motorcycle trip around the Gaspe and spent our first night on the road here. The new suites are exactly like the photos and were clean with hardwood floors, flat screen TV, mini kitchen and King bed. In a search for reasonably priced accommodation in Charlevoix, I chose this property based on the favourable reviews on TripAdvisor. We were most definitely not disappointed! The room was very clean and a good size (with two Queen beds, a table and chairs, and a little balcony), the beds were very comfortable, and the staff at reception were extremely helpful... more
Castel de la Mer was about half the price of anything else we could find in la Malbaie (including Auberges & Gites) and we were a bit weary. On arrival we were pleasently surprised. They do offer slightly cheaper "economy" rooms, but we opted for the moderate one that was $79 CAD, or $87 with tax. For $3.50 per person... more
