We spent one night here. It is a simpler local motel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was plainly furnished with one queen bed. Bathroom fine (basin in bedroom not bathroom), all very clean. Microwaves available for use near rooms, 24 hour tea and coffee downstairs. Breakfast light but adequate continental. Convenient for supermarket and eateries. more

The Woodland Inn is across from Super 8 and McDonald's. I was impressed with the family owners/management - very community oriented.

This is a small-town place with some great features. Colour towels, decent lamps, large tv, fridge, and black out drapes. Local and calling card calls are free. There's even microwave ovens in the hallway. Continental breakfast is 7 days a week.

Woodland boasts that it gets a higher rating from Canada Select than any other Meadow Lake hotel. Now I know why; I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in the town.
