Solid budget choice for Patzcuaro. Only 1 block from both main plazas in the Colonial Centro. $25 for a double with 2 beds. $30 for a triple with 3 beds. Facility is absolutely spotlessly clean & we have stayed twice in 3 years. Only negative is the noise. Hotel sits at the convergence of 4 main streets, so there is LOTS of street noise. If noise is a big negative for you, then this IS NOT your hotel. One of their few interior rooms would lower the noise level, but that is also dependent upon who the other guests are. On our 2nd visit there was a family with 5 kids, who were totally out of control & making the place unbearable, until we complained forcefully. Even though this is a budget property, it is located in a lovely building, with beautiful tile floors, & the rooms come with cable TV that gets CNN & BBC World in English, which is a plus. more
