I stayed at La Casa de los Arboles over Day of the Dead in 2008 and was the eco lodge's first guest. Although I had thought I wanted to be in town, it was actually far nicer to stay in the real countryside and to stroll or catch a collectivo into town whenever I wanted. The cabanas are very comfortable nd tastefully furnished and have stunning views. The Rodriguez family who run the resort are delightful and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend to other travellers. more
