This is definitely one of the best places to stay in beautiful Alamos. El Pedregal is a marvelous, small lodge. Five casitas mean you will never be crowded. Jen prepares some fantastic food. The grounds are extensive and provide for birding and quiet walks. Alamos is within walking distance. Jen leads yoga for those who are interested. If you need a lot of outside stimulus, you should probably not visit Alamos but if... more
My husband and I just returned from a guided Mexican birding trip with Solipaso. The highlight was our stay at El Pedregal. Jen and Dave MacKay have built luxurious casitas scattered on several lush acres of just outside of Alamos. From the moment you arrive you get the feeling that you're family! The owners (who live on site) and their staff are friendly and are available for all your needs. Quite close to town, walking distance, but feels like in the middle of wilds, as just below the mountain and national park. It was still in construction and a little confused, but you could see how well it was coming together and how nice it would become. Great food, warm hospitality. recommend. Mike more
