We wanted to go to the Akumal coast, but wanted to see the jungle as well and to be away from the more populated areas. So, we found Casa Valentina - a beautiful, calm Bed and Breakfast run by Valentina and Gerardo, who put their heart and soul into what they do. They provide a genuine experience of this part... more

This is definitely the place to go if you are looking for a unique Yucatan experience. Casa Valentina is perfectly located to all the places you'll want to visit (Coba, Tulum, Akumal, Xel-Ha, Playa del Carmen), yet off the beaten path of tourists. Valentina and Gerardo, the proprietors, are very knowledgeable about the area and made many wonderful recommendations of... more

First of all, the property itself was amazing. Down to the smallest details, the house was an absolute feat of design--somewhere between a zen garden and the Mayan palapa-style houses. If you get the chance, ask about Julio's machete skills and some of the ancient/mythic Mayan techniques he uses. The property even had a meandering garden jungle walkway throughout (though... more

I travelled around the world visiting a lot of different places, countries and when I arrived here I was really tired. Casa Valentina surprised me for its quietnes: it' s a very relaxing place. I stayed there for 10 days visiting archeologic sites (Coba, Chichen Itza, Tulum), going to the nicest beaches (akumal, xpu-ha, tulum, yalku bay and enjoying Casa... more

Wonderful location, between Tulum and Playa, nice the architecture of house and rooms. You must adapt yourself to the nature, it's full of insects but "mosquitos" can't enter in your room. The italian food is great, but you can also eat mexican food cookes by your guests. No problem with healthy, everything is cooked with pure water. Only two suggestions:... more

We recently returned from 4 nights stay. Valentina and Gerardo have created a beautiful, comfortable guest house, surrounded by gardens, about 5 minutes from Akumal. The tropical gardens and surrounding jungle provide habitat for a large variety of birds & iguanas and all sorts of fauna - lots of fun to head out early in the morning or around sundown... more

Valentina and Gerardo pay close attention to every detail to make our stay unforgettable. The room had all the amenities you could want including two patios, great... more

Stayed at Casa Valentina for 2 nights. The decor was artisic and suited for the natural setting of the casa. There is a prevelance of tile and stucco and thatched roofs throughout Mexico. These are often used in a functional manner, at Casa Valentina they were employeed into an asthetic creation that makes one feel as if you are part... more

Staying at the Casa Valentina has given myself and my family one of the best holiday experiences we have had in years. Both Valentina and Gerado were a pleasure to get to know and they willingly shared their home and their stories with a smile. Do not be put off by the fact that this B&B is not located directly... more

Casa Valentina is the ideal place if you want to spend an holiday in contact with the nature (it is inside the Jungla), to have a swim in Caribe sea world and to visit Maya sites. It is the right solution if you want to relax without living in the classic all inclusives and, at the same time, without renouncing... more
