This resort was incredible - the pools, the swinup bars, the resteraunts, ice-cream shop & smoothie shop. So many extras that you can't help be love it!! The location lacked, as it was a long ways from anything, but if you are a person content at the resort, this is the place for you. The only real negative is there... more

We spent a wonderful two weeks at this hotel from Feb11 to 25th 2009, sorry it has taken me so long to post this but here you go anyway. Hotel: Depending on which side of the resort you are on Mayan or Riviera. Each has its own large pool. The lazy river is closer to the Mayan side. The buffett,... more

Ok, so I spent so much time reading reviews, and when someone had given it a 1 I felt really nervous about going. But i guess it's just opinions, so this is mine... The coach transfer for us was an hour and a half and we were the first of three hotels to be dropped off. For me this is... more

Just to be clear, there are actually 2 resorts on this property, both called the Grand Sirenis, one is the Mayan Beach side, the other is the Riveria Beach side, the Riveria Maya side is the best. Checked in around midnight after several flight delays, we were warmly welcomed with a chanpagne fruit cocktail and an even warmer welcome. We... more

Drinks were good. (Coco loco) FOOD: Japanese was like Benihana's, Very good. Italian and Brazilian were good. Mediterranean was not good. Don't know about the others but they have to be better than the dinner buffet. If you don't get a la carte every night, good luck. At the breakfast buffet at least there are freshly prepared eggs. At Lunch... more

I traveled there for 12 days in April, the place itself is pretty grand, however not my type of resort, I went in knowing it would not be but tried it anyway. The main dining room was huge and the food was great for a mexican destination. The restaurants not so great, but that's ok. My biggest disappointment was the... more

First the problems, the beach is rocky so bring water shoes. However it is absolutely beautiful with Mayan Ruins right on the property. The floor to the pool bathroom is slick so be careful. I slipped and wound up with stitches on the first day of my trip. We tried to upgrade our room and were not accommodated, even though... more

Well i thought i would contribute to this amazing site which as helped us so much in planning our trip! I am however, not going to write a long review as pretty much all the good reviews apply and are 100% true. This hotel is a winner, we are a young couple (21 and 25) from Manchester who flew with... more
