This is what I call the best vacation..when you can arrive somewhere and have everything you need at your fingertips or within walking distance..so ditch the expense of a rental car and just use a taxi if u want to explore away from the grounds. We stayed at Las Casitas Akumal and found it to be one of the most relaxed, best values for any vacation trip we'd ever been on. Weather was perfect, the staff was wonderful, food was great and at very good prices, the casitas were well maintained and clean, fishing could have been better, but the scuba and snorkeling were great. more
