Really we went to Casa Carolina planning to stay three days. We stayed nine. The only reason we left is because they were full the next day. We kept saying, “Can we stay another day? Or two?” We started the trip with big plans for all the places we were going to go. We’ll have to do those things next... More

I can't think of any reason to consider staying anywhere else in Xcalak. The fishing guides picked me up at the dock right at Casa Carolina, and brought me back there. When we did want to go into town for something, the drive was just a few minutes. When the grocery trucks got here, they still had plenty of stuff... More

In 7 years of taking off the month of January to travel, we have never returned to the same place/accommodation, until this January! We love Casa Carolina and stayed this time for 2.5 weeks and enjoyed every day of our stay. We love the location, the rooms, including loads of hot water and great showers, the kitchen, the shopping trucks,... More

11 years ago I visited Xcalak for vacation and left with wonderful memories of a warm sea, white sand, fantastic diving and snorkeling, and a quiet village. I was more than pleased to find that this little bit of paradise on the Caribbean has not changed at all. Something which I am sure cannot be said of the vast majority... More

I went to Xcalak without a hotel reservation. I had read about the hotels in Xcalak on this site and some other places, so I had an idea about the places to look at. Fortunately I got there early enough in the day that I was able to check out a few places. The view from the rooms at Casa... More

My 2 adult children and I shared a room here last week and loved it! Rooms are clean with everything you need and more....you'll like you're in paradise when you awake to the spectacular view of the Caribbean from your room. Breakfasts are fresh and delicious. Bob and Caroline are extremely gracious; they will make arrangements for all your activities... More

I have been back in Montana now enough to know Xcalak is a place I plan to come back. For good that is. We enjoyed everything about Casa Carolina-especially Bob's and Caroline's knowledge of the area. They made our trip just perfect. I tell everyone about area and this B & B! World's best kept secret! Everyone said we were crazy to go to Mexico. Our parents AND our children said we were crazy. Well, we’re not. Whatever problems there may be in Mexico, they are no where to be seen in the Yucatan. I can’t imagine a more pleasant, relaxing trip than the drive from Cancun to Xcalak. Especially once you get past Tulum, where... More

Casa Carolina is a perfect spot for those who want to truly get away from it all. Xcalak is still a small fishing and diving spot and the roads are not paved. The people are so warm and friendly. This is a place you can truly say time has stood still - IN A GOOD WAY. We also recommend doing... More
