This is my first time writing a review but I feel I must. The pictures you see on the websites do not do this resort justice...the scenery and surroundings are amazing. Rooms are great...very clean and private, very large balcony. The lobby bar is a very relaxing place to sit and have a drink. Swimming pool and pool bar was... More

I've been to a different resort in the riviera about 4 yrs ago so when i booked this trip i was excited the pics on the website looked beautiful, but when i arrived feb 12th 2012 i was very disappointed. I wanted to turn around and go home!!! The place looked a disaster. The landscaping needed much help. The place... More

I have never written a review on anything because I am a very "go with the flow" type person. The 5 star reviews are true in that the property is secluded, very few rooms left after the hurricane, friendly waitstaff, decent rooms w/2 person jacuzzi, no on property beach (you have to SNEAK over to the nice resort next door),... Let me start by saying, this is a bit of a different hotel. If you don’t like being too close to nature, if you need your night lit so that you can easily see 50 feet in every direction, if you worry about getting caught in the middle of a rainstorm, then you should probably skip this hotel. If you... More

This is a superb resort, and what a deal!, There are only nine clusters of huts left, but the main buildings and restaurants are in tact. You live in a hut in the middle of a mangrove jungle , It has a gigantic bed and a two person side by side jacuzzi and a large balcony. It is a real retreat... More

I will agree with other reviewers that the language barrier was somewhat frustrating when ordering food but they try to understand. It was a VERY peacful place and I would recommend staying here if you are interested in a very low key get away. Loved all the wild life. I would have liked to have seem more of the devastated... We stayed 7 nights in Bel Air in Feb 2012. The service at the reception is the worst I have seen in my life. They made us wait for two hours in the reception (we were wet and tired from traveling all day) while they sorted out problems with their stone age reservation system, which had lost our reservation and... I am writing from our beautiful room, tomorrow back to Miami. We loved the hotel, it is a medium size hotel perfectly located, not crowded with beautiful service. Special thanks to Elvira, Fabiola, Hector and the staff at the restaurants. We didn't have the all inclusive package but we ate at the hotel for breakfast and dinner and the food... More

We had a great stay here over 5 days. Good for families wanting a quieter resort which is good value for money. Grounds are wonderful: cenotes with turtles, and animals and birds crossing walkways. Rooms are organised into small groupings and oriented for privacy. Staff were so friendly! Kids pool and playground was good as was larger pool with swim... More

This is my 3rd visit to the Maya Riviera and my 3rd all inclusive property so I have a pretty good yard stick to measure by; and while the Bel Air Collection Xup ha gets an A for effort it fails to make the grade on many levels. This resurrection of the former Xup ha Palace property is clearly still... More
