This Champneys is OK if you are fairly local and spot a good offer but nothing special to travel far for. I would recommend Tring or Springs over this one. First impression not great - Receptionist started arrival procedure then was called away and never returned . Eventually another staff member completed after we reminded them we had been waiting for 20 minutes. I have now stayed at Henlow twice a year for 5 years. I have tried other Spa's in the champney's group but always come back here. The staff are brilliant, the General Manager is very hands on, food is superb, and the treatments although some of them are a little expensive they are really worth paying for. I always go... more

I spent a week in late August with a friend. We had separate Superior Rooms and they were lovely, with splendid views. The time flew by; I don't know where the week went. I spend a week with my 3 stephdaughters and we had a very special time. The stafwere very helpfull and cheerfull. The food delicious and the accomodation great. It was a very great time, in a lovely countr setting. There was lots of very peacefull places to sit outside as well as inside. I will go again in5 month time... more
