Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My mum, sisters and I have just enjoyed a wonderful stay with Nicola. We were visiting the area to attend a wedding and Nicola was very happy for us to come back late, although we were of course respectful and tried not to be noisy. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and we all throughly enjoyed the beautiful cooked breakfasts. Would definitely recommend. Thank you very much!

A very warm welcome from Nicola and Bruce with warm, interesting conversation. The accommodation was wonderful, clean and made for a very please try stay whilst visiting a local festival. Breakfasts were delicious, albeit a little on the small side for three hungry guys and a choice of egg preference would’ve been appreciated). All-in-all however, would definitely stay again. Many thanks.

I had the pleasure of being a guest at the Gables for 8 weeks while my property was being refurbished. Nicola and Bruce made me feel very welcome and the standard of the rooms and the housekeeping was excellent. Being "homeless" it was lovely to be able to come and go as I pleased not restricted to just returning to sleeping. I would recommend the Gables to anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable place to stay either for a short break or longer.

Our son used The Gables as a base whilst he was at college in Silverstone - it is a short drive from the circuit, so ideally located. Nicola & Bruce were great hosts, offering a very warm welcome. The room was clean and comfortable and all Covid measures were adhered to. As well as breakfast, The Gables also offers home-cooked evening meals and packed lunches. We would not hesitate to recommend The Gables, either for a college/work base or for a weekend break.

This is just the most lovely welcoming place. Beautiful rooms and exceptional food. Nicola is an accomplished chef and it really shows in the quality of the breakfast. The rooms are all tastefully and artfully decorated. It is in a peaceful rural environment off the beaten track. Nicola and Bruce are incredibly welcoming and thoughtful. I have stayed there several times and wouldn't contemplate staying anywhere else. It's a real gem of a place

This B&B is the best one I have ever stayed in by far! Bruce and Nicola are a great couple and nothing was too much trouble. The accomodation was very good as was the food. It is situated in the heart of the English countryside, so peaceful and tranquil. We will definately go back again.

I have stayed several times at this lovely B&B in a beautiful location just outside the market town of Buckingham. I would change nothing and the owner, Nicola, lovely lady very friendly and especially Morse her brown labrador he is adorable and you are made to feel part of the household. Great spacious room, my bathroom just an arms length away. Serves a lovely English breakfast and you feel part of the family. Easy access to Buckingham within 10 minute drive with all amenities to hand, even a local Waitrose! Thank you I will back soon in March!
