We stayed at the Buckingham Travel Lodge the night before. See that review too. The room was clean and well furnished the staff were OK. Nice pool and average breakfast. No traffic noise. Is it worth twice as much as the Travel Lodge. Not sure. The sower was better in the T.L. MY sister was staying the same night. She... more

We stayed over a Friday/Saturday due to a wedding elsewhere in Buckingham. We weren't expecting much, as we did not intend to spend much time in the hotel, but I was still disappointed. Arriving the Friday afternoon and being unfamiliar with Buckingham we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant. We waited over an hour for our main course (I... more

Stayed at this hotel prior to a business meeting. Paid £56 B&B for a deluxe room - seemed excelent value. The room was very large, which must be why it was referred to as deluxe. Their was complimentary fruit and water in the room, plus a small box of chocolates - a nice little touch. However the furniture was very... more

Paid £60 well in advance and was pleasantly surprised. Rooms very similar to Travelodges etc. Fairly spacious with usual amenities. It is really a motel but what sets it apart is the pool, gym etc and also the very good buffet breakfast. If I was passing that way again and needed to stay overnight I would certainly use this place... more

I recently stayed at the hotel. I had not been there for over a year and noticed that it was under new managment. They have spent money and have begun to make great improvements to this hotel. The reception is much more airy- they have got rid of the 1970's piano and the silly nick knacks and it now looks... more

I booked this hotel at the last minute through laterooms. I would not stay here again. The lady at check-in was rude and obstinate. We arrived an hour before check-in and were told that not a single room was ready. We politely asked to be told if a room should become available before 2pm. This was to no avail as... more

Stayed for 1 night on business. Wouldn't return unless there were no other hotels avaliable. Rooms are old and tired, but are okay for 1 night. Wouldn't recommend eating the food. Ate in the restaurant and it was far below average, service was slow and staff told us off for adding another table when more people joined our party. One... more

Only stayed here for one night travelling through, had a very professional and warm welcome, and room was large enough for two people, and bathroom was clean and, again of good size. The communal areas were very noisy, and there was a very odd system when it came for dining in the restaurant. We were told that as they were... more

Arrived as part of a coach tour, so had limited expectations. The hotel dispelled all my fears. Fine service from friendly staff, clean, spacious rooms. Excellent breakfast, from buffet style bar, well cooked and presented. Evening meals started well, first two were great, then standards fell slightly, but still acceptable. Thank you to all there, We will visit you again. more

One thing that has to be established from the outset. This hotel continues to trade under the Beales name and even features promotions for other Beales hotels in its foyer. It is no longer part of the Beales group, a fact which can be verified by checking the Beales website. Having stayed at a Beales Hotel I can say that... more
