I stayed here with my husband recently and it was like being in the seventies or on the set of Alan Partridge: tired decor; Corby trouser press; a mini bar with no drinks in it and, oddly, an enormous printer / fax / scanner on the desk. The floor in the bathroom was that hideous grey sparkly gritty stuff you... more

Just returned from a Saturday night stay at this hotel. Used to live in the Town for many years, returned to visit friends and thought I would treat myself to The Villers, known for being very nice and obviousley the excellent central location. Found a room for £75 per night via the Classic Hotels website, paid in advance with 2... more

Stayed at the Villiers on Saturday with my partner and we really did enjoy ourselves in this lovely, charming hotel. Reception Staff friendly and welcoming and lobby area very cosy. After staying in a soulless corporate hotel the night before, the quirkiness and outlay of the Villiers was, in my view, a welcome surprise. Why oh why do we stay... more

Stayed in this hotel for a few nights. Booked last minute and got a reall small room full of spiders - dead spider in the light in the bathroom, spiders in the windows and spiders on the floor. Looked like the room hadn't been used in a while and hence not cleaned prior to my stay. Such a let down.... more

Stayed here for one night (midweek) in an executive room. The hotel is a bit shabby chic in places but has a very comfortable feel about it. The staff are very friendly and we had an excellent dinner in the restaurant. The hotel manager, Jean, came to say "hello" while we were dining, which we appreciated. The breakfast was also... more

My girlfriend and I booked the Villiers after reading the reviews here. We stayed just the one (saturday) night and found the hotel delightful if a little disorganized. Finding it was easy enough and we managed to bag the last remaining space in the small car park within the hotel. Booking in was no problem, they had our reservation to... more

Wonderful rooms, First class staff (well trained) Excellent location. Downsides shower over the bath - had to run around to get wet. Service in restaurant poor due to insufficent staff. Food overall very good. Stayed on Christmas package Traditional lunch on Christmas day was poor could have done better myself and I can't cook. Xmas night buffet had to be... more

We were in the area over half-term and, having seen good reviews on TripAdvisor, we gave the Villiers Classic a call and got a lovely superior double for £110 B&B for our family of three. The property is right in the centre of Buckingham with the rooms situated around an old courtyard like a proper old coaching inn. But don't... more

I held my wedding reception here in June. The hotel is amazing. The rooms are very spacious and nicely furnished. The staff are warm and friendly. My guests loved the hotel and couldn't compliment it enough. I'm really glad i had my wedding here because the standards for everything were excellent. more
