I found the courteous staff provided an informal yet competent service. The hotel, for example, had a friendly welcome, but with below good-quality, well-presented beds and furniture. The hotel's en suite was less clean than had expected. Overall, I would recommend my close family and friends to stay at this place, due to the levels of service. more

We stayed here for one night, the girl on reception was very friendly when we checked in. We had booked a family room but had to ask for bedding for the children, which was bought to our room very quickley. The room was in need of a lick of paint & the bathroom tiles were a bit grubby. Bedding was... more

After reading some of the previous reviews I was sorry I had booked this Travelodge for 5 nights, but as it happens we found it totally fine. We had a top floor room at the back, so can't comment on how much disturbance our downstairs neighbours or those facing the main road got. The room was basically clean, warm, comfortable... more

I would never defend the awful standards of the average UK Travelodge although if you got a bargain rate perhaps you would think better, we paid top rate, it was convenient for us and although room smelled musty it was at the rear and not too noisy. Only noise came from room above, woken 1.30 am and again 4 am... more

This was the dirties place I have ever stayed in: 1. Front door was white with a black dirty ring around the handle - not very welcoming. 2. Corridor leading to our room smelled of cats urine. 3. Room was musty and unaired. 4. Thick cobwebs on the walls - coated with dust. 5. Toilet was absolutely filthy - I... more

I stayed at this Hotel for one night. Firstly, the Hotel has no obvious signage from the main road (A14) and it is with thanks to the general public in Fenstanton that I found the Hotel at all. The Hotel has no public telephones, no bedroom telephones, no Internet access and no restaurant, bar or dining facilities. The only time... more

The Background, My wife and I wanted to go to the Cambridge Folk festival but experience tells us that as soon as the dates are announced all the local accomodation fills up. Thus it was that on the 5th January I was scouring the internet for accomodation in August. I found space at the fenstanton travelodge 10 miles and 15... more

If you have to stay in the area, stay somewhere else. You may have to drive a few extra miles, but it is worth making the extra effort, so don't just settle for the Travelodge. The 'property' is unloved and the standards are not good. The bedrooms need investment. The standard is very low which is not a good sign.... more

We stayed at this travelodge for one night over a weekend. We booked weeks before and could only get a smoking room, which we decided to go for as there was a lack of other accommodation available in the area. What a mistake! Our room was filthy, especially the bathroom. Looked like it had hardly been cleaned, the floor was... more

This hotel is located on the A14 next to a Little Chef and Shell garage. Rooms and clean and light. The noise from the A14 is always there in the backgroud. I found the staff pleasant and helpful. With a travelodge you get what you pay for so don't expect shower gel and hairdriers. There is no telephone point in... more
