To cut a long story short we have been to many travelodges and have never had any cause for complaint - this one is the exception! The Manager of the Crewe Inn is the most obnoxious, rude and downright unpleasant person we have ever met. Our room was infested with spiders and dead flies everywhere, generally not clean at all... more

We were visiting family so didn't need anything smart. This was just the job - being a new build it's still in good condition & was well cleaned. There's a pub next door, nice for a nightcap & our room at the back overlooked a pleasant stream. Although in an industrial estate it was quiet and comfortable. It was difficult... more

Good hotel overall, had a problem with the keycard being very scratched but nothing major. The only complaint - and not Travelodges fault! - is that the 3 mobile broadband coverage at the hotel is very poor. It does make a connection, but only at the lowest signal rating. more

Ideal for a short break/overnight stay. We stayed for 2 nights when visiting Alton Towers. The hotel rooms were basic but clean and tidy. Would stay again. There is a small supermarket, subway, a pub and a chinese take away opposite the travelodge. Quite a drive from Alton Towers though (approx 45 mins - 1 hour). more

I can only reinforce what has been said already. This is a newer property and is therefore not showing the signs of age and lack of upkeep of other Travelodges. The Duke of Gloucester pub is next door and, as previously reported, there is a Chinese Take Away, Subway and Co-operative mini-market very near. This makes it an ideal overnight... more

I spent 2 nights here in late July. The hotel is well located. It is next to a gastropub and a very small commercial centre with a take away, Subs outlet and a decent supermarket (open 07.00-23.00). The rooms are fine and mine at the back looked out over some nice nature. Very quiet and better than the average Travelodge.... more

Booked a room here about 4 months prior to the date of arrival. Since making the reservation I discovered that Travelodge UK have commenced a policy of overbooking. This naturally caused us some concern, especially after having read the overbooking policy on the hotel website. We pre-paid for 3 rooms and according to the hotel website terms it is still... more

This hotel opened in late 2005 and is well presented compared to other Travelodges. The hotel rooms are basic but clean with comfortable beds. However, my room did not include a telephone port to enable me to use my laptop. After asking reception where I could connect within the hotel, I was informed there was no where currently available. I... more

Arrived the first night this Travelodge opened. It's well appointed and smelled strongly of paint. Probably because they had been working on it earlier that day. We arrived in the evening and could not find the entrance. In the directions is says it's next to Bannantyne's Leisure Centre and it is directly behind it, but the entrance is not on... more
