Have stayed before a couple of years ago and thought it was a fantastic hotel. Not so great this time round. Not awful by any stretch but not blown away by it either. Room was a bit dated and it didn't feel immaculatly clean and fresh. The food was a big let down - overly fussy and too quirky for... more

We stayed for one night and wished we were staying for longer. The food was lovely, service great and the spa was really relaxing. I would definitely recommend to everyone. more

We have now stayed 3 times at this hotel....I wrote a review a few years ago about it being like Fawlty Towers. We keep going back to try it again, hoping that the management have managed ot sort out the staffing issues, because it is so lovely and close enough to home if there is a problem with our son... more

I host a business breakfast meeting at Rookery Hall every few weeks, with about 30 guests each time. We've just had a really good breakfast, plenty of food, nicely cooked and well presented. Over the last few months a couple of members were a little unhappy with our food. We spoke to Stephen the General Manager and Jane who looks... more

I stayed here with family for a 21st Birthday celebration. The hotel was excellent, set in beautiful grounds, friendly staff and immaculate bedrooms. The only dissapointment was there seemed to be a mix up with two of our rooms - one we paid for more however it was smaller compared to a standard so something went wrong in the admin... more

We held our wedding at Rookery and had a wondeful day. The staff were on the ball and the day ran very smoothly. The grounds were also a fanastic backdrop for photographs. HOWEVER, despite numerous meetings with the management with regards to the menu we were let down by the food, which given the huge cost and time invested was... more

What a great weekend. A very rare opportunity to go away without the children, wanting s country house hotel with spa treatments and Rookery Hall ticked ALL the boxes. Staff were excellent. Bar didn't have the Havana Club Rum my husband drinks but within an hour someone had gone out to get it - that's service! The Room (new contemporary... more

Stayed in the November suite - very pleasant - though room was above an air con generator so a bit noisy with the window open. Room service very good and breakfast lovely. It was expensive though. more

Rookery Hall is an amazing location. We stayed for 1 night for a family wedding. We had a room in the 'old part' (ie the Hall) rather than the cold-looking, ultra-modern annexe. The room was amazing - simply huge with a large bed and luxury bathroom! No complaints at all! The food served at the Wedding Breakfast was average though.... more
