My husband and I had the rare chance of a night out without the children as we were staying with family in the area who offered to babysit. We decided to go back to Nunsmere Hall which I had visited before. Our welcome was warm and friendly and we enjoyed drinks around the fire in the refurbished bar. Feeling very... more

my sister and I went to Nunsmere yesterday for lunch. It wasn't a problem that lunch in the dining room had finished and we sat in the terrace bar. We ordered two meals between us -thank goodness-.My sister's ploughmans lunch was a disgrace! Firstly we had to send the grapes back they were mouldy! Then her Cheshire ham was a pile of... more

This is a great hotel. The setting is idyllic and the hotel itself very comfortable. I can recommend dinner which was excellent and the general atmosphere is both relaxed and professional. Would definately consider staying here again and I think it would be a great venue for a house party! more

Nunsmere is one of our regular business venues and it's always one my colleagues and I look forward to. The rooms are superb, the service and food beyond reproach and the setting is simply beautiful. Mobile phone receptioon CAN be a problem, but that's a small price to pay for what is one of the best hotels in England. more

The setting of this hotel is wonderful. Our son and his new wife held their reception there and it was a great success, including the dinner. Unfortunately, there was a definate lack of maintenance and refurbishment. The hallway carpets to the bedrooms were old and worn with an unpleasant smell in the area of our room. Our room was very... more

We recently spent a wonderful weekend at the Nunsmere Hall Hotel where they were holding a special weekend celebration to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the launch of the first Queen Mary. The event was extremely well organised by all involved and was perfect in every way. The setting at Nunsmere was idyllic and was especially suited to the occasion... more

Cunard's advertising byline from the 60's is very appropriate to this splendid hotel in which I stayed for the Queen Mary weekend. I know I am probably slightly biased, my grandfather built the house but it really is a comfortable hotel. The service is unobtrusively excellent and the food was superb. I would have no hestitation recomending to a friend. more

We stayed at Nunsmere for the Queen Mary Celebration Weekend. The Designer of the Great Ship, Sir Aubrey Brocklebank, lived here. We arrived on a beautiful sunny September Day. We were escorted to our room, "Beech". It was a huge room on the third floor. My only complaint is that the bed was too soft, but that might be ok... more

We spent one night at this lovely hotel on a Sunday night during a 2 for 1 dinner offer. The reason for our stay was to spend our first night away on our own since the birth of our daughter - and a late wedding anniversary gift to ourselves! When i told the hotel this they had a lovely suprise... more

My 30th birthday was spent at Nunsmere Hall and it was absolutely amazing, and one that I will always remember. Nunsmere Hall is a truly stunning hotel, and I found every single member of staff that we encountered to be extremely polite and friendly. The rooms were outstanding. The food, the staff, the champagne, the grounds... literally everything was perfect.... more
