The revamped Bear's Paw is a perfect place to eat, drink, socialise and/or "chill out". The standard of the premises is top notch and very well maintained. The menu is changed every day, and always consists of the best local ingredients, perfectly cooked and nicely presented. They have an excellent selection of wines and local and guest beers. The service... more

I recently enjoyed an overnight stay at the Bear's Paw with my partner and couldn't fault it. We travelled from Liverpool and were checking in within the hour. The room was beautifully presented with a nice view across to the neighbouring church and countryside and the spacious bathroom was stocked with quality toiletries. Since the weather was unusually mild for... more

Outstanding hotel, we would have missed breakfast due to the time we got up, the hotel friendly staff accommodated us and bough breakfast to our room, which was wonderful and fresh. The food is cooked to perfection, you can tell these are sourced locally, although service was a bit slow to bring the food out, as we ensured to enjoy... more

Dined with you on Wednesday with a few colleagues and had a look around you rooms, a complete transformation to what is once was. The place was busy which is always a good sign. The service was efiicient and friendly and the food tasty with an extensive choice. Will definately return. May try Sunday lunch next time more

We went with a group of friends to the Bear's Paw and were looking forward to eating in the revamped restaurant since the recent fire. While it looks the part, the meal was completely spoilt by the service - with one notable exception who greeted us warmly but we didn't see her again! Even though it wasn't overly busy -... more
