Stayed with my two brothers and their wives and my mother, my brothers paid £80 for a double room b & b which isn't too bad at all, but my mother & I paid £80 each for a single room b & b, which is stupid & I find unfair a single person paying the same as a couple. The... more

What a great hotel!! We stayed for only one night but would have loved to stay for longer. We had the four poster room which was great value... full of charm and warmth. Such a comfortable bed and fresh bed linnen. The room was spotless clean and the en-suite was a really good size. The room faced the traditional village... more

We stayed at this hotel for a friend's wedding along with a group of friends. The rooms were beautiful, so nice I would have liked to stay longer. The bedding was so comfy, that may sound silly but I've never had such a fluffy duvet before! Nicely decorated rooms, clean bathroom. I found the staff to be really helpful, there... more

We were really unpleasantly surprised by our visit to the Swan. Having read the good reviews we travelled there looking forward to a nice lunch. On arrival we were a bit put off by the number of flies in the first room, so went to the small room behind the bar. Whilst being served our drinks and looking at the... more

My husband was racing at Oulton Park so we stayed here with our 10 month old son. I cannot praise the staff and the place enough and would definitely stay here again. We stayed for 2 nights but could only have the bigger suite room (for the travel cot) on the first night as they were fully booked. Sue, who... more

We used the hotel as a one night base to visit Chester and the surorundings while en route from Cambridge to the Lakes. We were very pleasantly surprised by the hotel and the village. The rooms was very comfortable and attractive. In the evening, the hotel and its pub were bustling with local diners. The hotel is situated on the... more

We stayed at The Swan en-route to The Lakes after speaking to some friends in the area. Service (including check-in) was all through the bar but we were welcomed straight away and offered a drink before being shown to our room. Rooms are clean and simple but cozy with en-suite bathrooms and wifi if you need that sort of thing.... more
