We booked Peckforton Castle for our 2nd wedding anniversary. The castle is certainly spectacular, built as a faux medieval castle complete with Bailey, battlements, peacocks, pheasants and its own falconery! This truly was an awesome experience. The staff/owners were helpful,courteous and friendly. You are free to roam around the permitted areas of the castle and grounds. Would recommend having drink in the wine cellar bar which has no electric lighting just candle light which adds to the atmosphere. The breakfast is amazing. An added bonus is the Falconry. before I start the review just a small tip if like me your travelling from the north west and using a sat nav when you get to the last junction and the sat nav says you have reached your destination you have to make the descision of turning left or right well turn right after about 500 yards the castle... more
