This is a lovely little place for a few days getaway. We stayed in the Blue Room which was clean and cosy with a very comfortable bed. Tina could not do enough for us, even to the point of dropping us off in Cartmel for our special meal at L'enclume and baking a beautiful cake for my fiancee's birthday. The... More

Sadly we stayed only one night at this simply great little property but right from the outset, Tina made us so welcome and looked after us so well throughout our stay! Our room was delightful, with views of the hillsides - but the bed was extra comfortable and the bedlinen really pristine, along with lots of towels and loads of... More

We arrived to a warm welcome from Tina. The room had a view of the fells and a clean, homely charm. It kept getting better with home made flapjack and more than enough coffee/tea. Fresh dressing gowns were also provided. To awaken to the smell of freshly baked bread added further to the charm of this warm, friendly b&b. Would... More

We stayed for one night at the Blue House. Tina was very welcoming as were the two beautiful black labs running around! The room was clean with a fab comfy bed and the bathroom was right next door but not shared which was a bonus and had a rain shower and extra jets which woke you up after a good... More

Thank you so much for your great review. I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay, as brief as it was and thrilled that you rated the breakfast so highly - I put it down to the magic of the Aga! We look forward to seeing you again soon. Best wishes Tina More

We spent two nights in the originally and tastefully renovated Garden Room, which has its own private entrance and a gorgeous, large bathroom - with a huge bath that you can easily fill with water that is so hot they have to have warning signs about it! As well as having coffee/tea-making facilities (yummy cookies, too), TV, DVD player (and... More

Stayed in the Romany caravan for two nights with my girlfriend was very cosy lots of candles and a log burner. Tina the host had kindly lit it to be warm on our arrival. One thing is can be a little bit cramped but to be expected in a caravan! Still its warmer than you think in there with the... More

Many thanks for spreading the word about Romany Rose Gypsy Caravan. You certainly get the prize for extreme camping in the snow and it was a great test for how well insulated the old girl is. I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Best wishes Tina More

Had a fantastic one nights stay here March 11th. We had come up for a break in the Lakes for a few days and wanted to spend some time in Cartmel. Tina (the host) was brilliant, very accommodating and helpful and went the extra mile to make our stay hassle free and relaxing. The room itself was wonderful, very clean... More

Lovely accommodation. Great breakfasts and some excellent walks nearby. Nice pub up the road, and not too far from Cartmel for great restaurants etc. The owners are very friendly - gave us a lift to Cartmel in the evening and looked after our dogs while we were out. You don't get much better than that! Will definitely return.
