Spent two delightful evenings at Aynsome. Very warm welcome and dog friendly. Lovely spacious room overlooking the garden and fells. Delicious breakfast with lots of choice from local sourced produce. We walked over a couple of fields into the village (about 15 mins max) into Cartmell and enjoyed most delicious fresh and creative food at Rogan's restaurant in the centre... more

We stayed for two nights in late July and were very impressed. The quality of this hotel, in particular the restaurant, is superb. At first you may find it difficult to find the hotel, however it is less than a mile from the beautiful village of Cartmel on Aynsome Lane . Unusually, most bedrooms are at the back of the... more

Stayed here recently. Was exceptionally impressed with every aspect of the place - customer service exemplary, quality of food amazing (local high calibre ingredients), stunning setting, charming and characterful surroundings. Would most certainly recommend. It is refreshing that an owner is so passionnate about their property, service and guest experience. more

I noticed this hotel while browsing a lake district hotel website and after checking it out on Tripadvisor decided to give it a try. As it was our 44th wedding anniversary we decided rather than just going out for a nice meal somewhere we would combine it with an overnight stop in the lake district ( we only live 50... more

Have just returned from a thoroughly enjoyable stay at the Aynsome Manor Hotel near Cartmel. We were only in the area for one night and were very pleased with the deal, which although £100 for a double room (B&B), was well worth the money. The staff are friendly and attentive and don't make you feel like a nuisance. The architectural... more

My wife and I stayed for two nights recently at the Aynsmore and feel it is worth commenting on the superb treatment we received. The owners are truly "hands-on" and are almost pedantic in ensuring that guests' requirements are fully met. Nothing is too much trouble - advice on where to visit locally, the safest way to walk to Cartmel... more
