Arrived on the saturday, for a two day stay, in july. Beautiful stone slate house. 4 yellow stars guest house. we had the lilac room . A cosy country pine double bed with hot shower . perfect ! Hillcrest is a delightful country guesthouse in the u.k lake district. It is far superior to many 4 and 5 star hotels, The rooms are immaculate, and so tastefully furnished. The proprietor, Jane, makes such a good breakfast that you will not need lunch. Cannot recommend too highly. more
