Good base for seeing the Lake District. This hotel is on the main road through Troutbeck Bridge, no view from any bedrooms. The sound from heavy rush hour traffic was not blocked by the windows. Hotel easy to find. Staff very friendly and the accommodation was clean and basic. a good place to go for a romantic weekend. very close to Windermere and Ambleside, and great base for all activities. hotel is based in an ideal situation close to windermere and ambleside.Great food. The staff are very freindly and helpful. rooms are clean. Great entertainment on Fridays and saturdays.
