Selside Farm has converted its beautiful stone byre (cow shed) into spacious, comfy accommodation that lends itself perfectly to throwing off the shackles of a week in the big city, kicking back and doing, well, precisely nothing.

Spotlessly clean, Mrs Lambert always ensures there's a roaring coal and log fire waiting for you when you arrive. Big kitchen, even bigger living room, dining room and 3 lovely bedrooms. If you want, you even get adopted by the farm cat - heaven if, like me, you're a cat lover.

Anyhow, if rural seclusion is your thing, then Selside Farm is it. There are delightful historic market towns within easy reach - Settle, Hawes and Ingleton - so you're never totally cut off from civilisation. But you can be if you want.
