The room was very expensive, £60 is a rip off. The room was old fashioned, and very disappointing. It had cracks in the walls and ceiling. The shower was freezing and did not get warm. At 3 o'clock in the morning, the staff were emptying the bottles outside which was very loud. I will only say that the staff and... More

I wasn't expecting much of this place as it is a bit old however the rooms were large, extremely comfortable and clean. Yes the stairs are a pain and they creak a lot but that is to be expected in an old building. Resturant is great if you want a good home cooked meal. What really makes this place great... More

Stayed at the Waverly Hotel for one night. The room was small but clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The two problems we had were that our room was on the street and we heard some noise during the night, secondly our shower in the morning, the water pressure wasn't great. Overall though it was a very... More

Stayed in a refurbished room which will be very nice when it's finished. Very comfy bed and nice thick curtains. Radiator in bathroom did not work and nothing was done despite me informing reception so bathroom was very cold it also had very low water pressure, took 10 minutes under the shower just to get wet! All the staff were... More

We stayed at this hotel for a few days between Xmas and New Year. There is no parking outside the hotel for more than an hour during the day so we had to go to the nearest public car park and walk back to the hotel in the rain. The hotel has a definite 'pub' feel and smell about it... More

Had a three course Christmas meal yesterday lunchtime and for £ 11.95 you couldn't complain. Staff were polite, we didn't have to wait long and the quality of the starter, main course and pudding were excellent and the beef I had in the main course was excellent. Also bar prices were reasonable for a restaurant/hotel. Nice thing was when we... More
