Positives - fabulous meal, great service, good value for money. Breakfast also very nice. Negatives - "Executive" room is anything but. Bedroom itself just about ok, but bathroom had poor fittings, a shower more or less hanging off the wall and unpleasant finish all round. Keep the extra £25 and go for a standard room. General - I had to... more

Had a really enjoyable stay here after going to Alton Towers for the day. The rooms were beautifully decorates, as was the rest of the Hotel. Ashbourne is very pretty but there is not alot to do in the evenings (which didn't really matter because the room was so comfy we didn't want to leave). Would deffinately recommed this hotel! more

Stayed in room 4, an executive room. Would hate to see the size of a standard room. Ate in the restaurant which was a little dissapointing. My wife had a steak with a confit tomato, which was a tinned tomato, the pepper sauce was tasteless. At nearly £20 very dissapointing. My lamb was very good. Room 4 cost £125 for... more

Unfortunatley we were dissapointed with our stay at Bramhalls, we did arrive with high hopes but sadly felt a little let down. The welcome was warm and we were suly showed to our room. We had booked the executive double (Room 4) but it was not the standard i would expect from a 4* executive room. Neither me or my... more

Stayed here with 4 friends last week. We were on a cycling trip and stayed just the one night. Amazing little hotel with lovely restaraunt. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great menu, lovely food - cook (Laura) is brilliant. Top full english breakfast next day. Good value for money - couldn't fault the place - perfect. more

Due to rain cancelling our planned camping trip we stumbled across Bramhalls and had a lovely relaxing two night break. We called them on the Sunday evening and managed to get a good late deal on a two night in a executive room (£65 per night for the room). We were in room 5 which was a good size, nicely... more

My husband and I were married in Ashbourne, and had our wedding "reception" at Bramhalls. The whole experience - from arriving at noon on our wedding day - to departing after breakfast the next day - was absolutely wonderful. We really cannot praise the staff at Bramhalls enough. It was a small, intimate wedding, only 20 of us, which meant... more

My husband and I have just returned from an excellent 4 night break with friends, at Bramhalls of Ashourne. The Hotel is just a short distance from the town centre. Many places of interest are just a short drive away and the beginning of the Tissington Trail is just around the corner. The comfortable bedrooms are warm, clean, tastefully and... more

We have stayed at Bramhalls a couple of times in different rooms, but on this occasion we were upgraded to room 5....The bedroom part look ok except for the curtain track was not strong enough to hold the heavy curtains and there is a lack of light source on the dressing table. The bathroom was a let down for aroom that... more
