Food quality OK and portions great, but for the room price the stay was not worth it. Ideal if you are a dog owner as the room smells of dogs, and great if you are happy to sleep on the floor as the bed we slept in had no springs and bent to the left and right. Location is great... more

We stayed here for 3 nights in a group of 13 couples. All the rooms were different, all good but some better than others. We were on the top floor, the room was quiet but hot & airless on a warm weekend. Our friends were in a dark room on the ground floor with an outside door to the car... more

Just returned from our 2nd stay. Dog friendly. Food is good honest stuff with really large helpings - no need for a starter or sweet! Cooked breakfast is also really good. Same friendly staff and most if not all seem to be local which is a change nowadays. Situation is excellent and there are lots of walks nearby. more

This is the second time I have stayed at The Yorkshire Bridge Inn and once again, the Inn didn't let us down. Great hearty pub food, be warned the portions are enormous!! Typical British breakfast, set you up for either a good days walking/cycling or if the weather is not good a trip to Meadow Halls in Sheffield for a... more

Stayed here as we were looking for a dog friendly place. Dogs are allowed in your room but they are not allowed in bar or restaurant when food is being served - nor are they allowed to be left in your room when you go to eat. Does mean that on a hot sunny day, your pet will have to... more

Fantastic place to stay.Room spotlessly clean.Room had additional door straight outside to car- would be ideal for disabled guest.Think 3 rooms were like this.Rooms at back of the pub -so never distrubed by any noise.Pub always busy which is a good sign.Residents guaranteed a table at night and had own resident eating area.Meals were good value and good portions.Staff very... more

We were looking for a Peak District base to be able to see the area and what a gem we found with the Yorkshire Bridge Inn. Firstly, it is small dog friendly and used to walkers with hiking sticks and rucksacks. So this as you can imagine gave the place a warm friendly feeling. The Inn for the whole 4... more

Had a Friday/Saturday night weekend here. First impression as we approached and saw the top of the building covered in scaffolding didn't inspire us but this had absolutely no effect once we were inside. As other reviewers say, the food is great, good helpings, really well cooked but without pretensions. The staff also cope well but really seem to care... more
