We stayed at Cheshire House for 2 nights. We were welcomed on arrival by Sue who showed us to our room and made sure we were comfortable with everything. Our room was tastefully furnished with a good sized en suite shower, very clean and fresh looking with a lovely view overlooking Peveril Castle. Castleton itself was a 2 minute walk... More

I was delighted to find Cheshire House for our recent visit to Castleton. It's right in the heart of the village - location couldn't be better. There's a pub right across the street, and even tho it was very crowded with a major football match on, we could barely tell it was there. No disturbance at all. The breakfast, featuring... More

We enjoyed our stay in this very well run B and B in Castleton, so handy for bus, pub, footpaths and caverns. Our comfy room contained everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. We would recommend this and hope to stay again. More

Cheshire house is a cosy, spotlessly clean B & B in the heart of the Peak District. The rooms are tastefully furnished, a warm, hospitible welcome is assured from Sue, the wonderful owner. Secure free parking is an added bonus at this reasonably priced establishment which boasts a more than satisfying breakfast comprising what is obviously fresh local produce. A... More

Had a fabulous stay at Cheshire House over the easter break. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and shown to our characterful room, with stunning views over the Peaks. Cheshire House is in an excellent location - across the road from an amazing, warm and historic pub serving great food and ales (and which we didn't find a disturbance whatsoever,... More

We stayed in Cheshire house for three nights in April 2011. And we were extremely disappointed. First night, just as we came in, we found a spider on the wall. One of our towels had spots on it, and was not clean, so we ended up using ours. And from then on, we only received one towel for both of... More

I was extremely sad to read this review, and that none of the issues were mentioned to me during the visit, so that I could have the opportunity to resolve them. I apologise that a spider was seen in the room, we are in a village in the countryside, and we do have occasional visits by spiders. I am really... More
