Me and my family had booked a meal at The Peaks Inn, Castleton and had a lovely evening. It was a cold and snowing outside and a real fire was a lovely welcome. The food and service was excellent. We will be coming back next year for our anual Christmas trip to Castleton. more

We went to The peaks Inn for my birthday after a hard few months, we choose this place as we went in April 2008 and it was amazing. NOT ANYMORE!!!! £90 for room 1 which is the room with a four poster bed and jacuzzi. Lovely you think but no....... As soon as we walked in we were asked to... more

Ignore the good reviews - these were written before this place changed hands. Unpleasant landlord, who preferred to have a fag than fix the t.v. when Iasked him to. An hour or so later, he came up to fiddle with it but it was obvious that he already knew it wasn't working before he let the room. Didn't bother to... more

we went for 1 night only to stay at this hotel and thankfully it was only 1 night! we were in room 1 with lovely 4 poster bed and jacuzzi bath - sounds nice? well yes it was but sadly the music shoutring and swearing from the bar directly underneath until 1am did not exactly add that special touch! in... more

We stayed here at the last minute. Everywhere was full but they had one room for saturday night. The room was supposed to be ready at 2pm and we checked in at 3.15pm. The weather was freezing and blowing a gale, so was looking forward to a nice hot shower - no towels. Asked for them. Said they would be... more

Booked this room at only a week's notice due to lack of vacancies elsewhere in the village. Was told that check-in was at noon - but on arriving at 1pm we still had to wait a little while until they had checked that the room was ready. Finally was shown to the room, but told that they would deliver bath... more

We booked two rooms for two nights for myself and husband and my daughter and her partner. The rooms, as other reviewers have said, were well decorated but housekeeping was not of a good standard and I felt the whole place had a neglected air. The worst problem was noise which was particularly bad in my daughter's room. They have... more

My wife booked a weekend away there for my birthday. We booked the four poster room with jacquzzi. The room was great, clean and nicely decorated. The bed was comfy and had duck down duvet and pillows, the jacquzzi bath was massive and the full english breakfast was delicous. More stylish rooms than the Castle with better breakfast, but more... more

Just come back from a weekend at Castleton. Drove up on the spur of the moment Friday lunch time. Castleton was very bust with most hotels booked. We came accross "The Peaks" hotel and asked if they had a room for the weekend. There was only one available for Friday night and took it at 80 pounds for b+b, .... more
